We provide structure, accountability, expertise, and inspiration to individuals or groups who are ready to make lasting changes in one or more areas of their well-being — such as weight loss, nutrition or dietary habits, physical fitness, stress management, or work/life balance.
We work with clients to:
- Establish their long and short term goals
- Replace limiting, self-defeating beliefs with a new, empowering reality regarding their ability to live more confident, fit, healthy, well-balanced lives
- Find and firmly ingrain their motivation for achieving their goals
- Design specific actions to achieve or even surpass their goals
- Provide support and create new strategies when obstacles occur
- Manage progress and accountability
Most coaching sessions are conducted on the telephone, but can be done in person if the client prefers. (Research has shown that telephonic sessions can create an even more effective coaching environment, as the client and coach are freed up from any visual distractions regarding their own or the other person’s physical “being.”)
Coach and client schedule weekly sessions during which progress towards goals is reviewed, strategies and actions to overcome ongoing challenges are agreed upon, and new, more challenging goals may be set. The coach is available between sessions by phone and email.
Typically, coaching engagements continue for three to six months, as this is the amount of time it often takes for for behavioral changes to become habits.
